Sting 12U Blue 3, San Jose Sting 12A 2
In the first, Meagan Tokunaga drew a walk, making San Jose pay by stealing second and exploiting passed balls to score. Anna Moore advanced to score amidst more San Jose defensive foibles in the second. Sting’s defense and pitching held San Jose to two runs, highlighted by Katie Tick spearing a line drive and Taylor Ivancich’ running backhanded catch in the fourth.
Fiona Riley provided solid pitching throughout. Camille Dyhr
scored in the fourth for the third and winning run.
Tracy Titans A 5, Sting 12U Blue 3
Sting countered the Titan’s three-run first inning after a double off
A. Moore’s bat followed by an RBI single from Kate Moore. Tokunaga walked, advanced on a Jaclyn Caldwell single, then scored on a throwing error in the second. Izzy Lubin-Brown scored in the fourth
on a passed ball, but the Titans prevailed with five runs.
Sting 12U Blue 10, Tracy Titans B 0
Sting racked up seven runs in the first, with Tokunaga, Riley, A. Moore, Caldwell, K. Moore, Allie Presher, Dyhr, and Clara Obstfeld scoring on a comedy of errors, wild pitches and passed balls. In the third, Sting baserunner Caldwell scored on a wild pitch, while Lubin-Brown and K. Moore scored off a single to left by Dyhr to complete the rout.

Sting 12U Blue 8, San Jose Sting 12A 4
Tokunaga singled to start things off, followed by walks from A. Moore and Lubin-Brown, capped by a two-bag blast from K. Moore. Moore hit safely again in the second inning which saw baserunning efforts from Riley, Caldwell, Lubin-Brown and Moore resulting in runs. Riley and Dyhr drew walks in the third, and parlayed steals and passed balls into scores.
Tracy Titans A 12, Sting Blue 12U 2
The Titans proved overwhelming in the battle for first place. Sting pitcher Riley managed two strikeouts in the first. Sting batters Tokunaga, K. Moore, Riley and Caldwell all recorded singles, with Moore and Caldwell reaching home for the only two Sting runs in the contest.
